Pots and Planters

It is so odd where you find things on Bonaire.  The other day we were in a bathroom fixture store and half of the store was high end kitchen pots and pans.  Our liquor store is housed with a modern furniture store. The Chinese market carries American brand products. So it's no big surprise that a construction company would house the best garden pots, planters and ornaments (please note the flamingo in the foreground. I told you flamingos are everywhere).

Balentina's is located at the end of a dirt road in a residential area east of Kralendijk. Never could have found this on our own but our gardener's assistant gave us perfect directions:  go to the animal shelter, go another 100 m (still don't know how far that is!), turn left on to a dirt road and then make an right on to another dirt road and a left into the construction yard.

The construction yard is everything concrete.  They make bricks, columns, decorative items, and pavers.  Big trucks everywhere  and workmen loading and making concrete.

Our plants have outgrown their pots. So we wanted to get bigger pots that matched all the rest. We also wanted a planter box for a herb garden. We have been looking all over the island. We found them at Balentina's. They will paint and deliver the pots.

Another successful outing!

  1. That is so neat that they will paint the pots for you and deliver them. Send pics when they are done
